Leica Announces D-Lux Explorer Kit

Leica announced an Explorer Kit for its Leica D-Lux (Typ 109) compact four-thirds camera. The kit features a Leica DC Vario-Summilux 10.9 to 34mm f1.7 to 2.8 ASPH. (24-75mm 35mm equivalent), auto lens cap and a red cotton carrying strap.

The auto lens cap splits open when the Power button is pressed and the lens extends out. It collapses when the Power button turns the camera off and the lens retracts. So you don't have to fumble around with the lens cap.
The Leica D-Lux Explorer Kit is identical to the black Leica D-Lux, including the high resolution EVF, 4K video and integrated WiFi.
Leica said the D-Lux Explorer Kit will be available mid-November for $1,145.00, a $50 premium over the standard model.
