In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at Sir Elton John, the Nikon 70-200mm f2.8E, Nayan Khanolkar and shooting bullets.
- The Radical Eye: Modernist Photography From the Sir Elton John Collection is showing over 70 artists and nearly 150 rare vintage prints at the Tate Modern in London through May 7, 2017. Includes a video with Sir Elton John and a short slide show featuring some of the photos in the exhibit.
- Roger Cicala runs his Nikon 70-200mm f2.8E FL ED AF-S VR MTF Tests and even compares the new zoom to "the standard bearer of 70-200 f/2.8 lenses, the Canon 70-200 f2.8 IS II."
- In On Assignment: Alley Cat, Strobist David Hobby chases Nayan Khanolkar down a Mumbai alley as he sets up his Nikon D7000 and a few speedlights to capture "one of the apparently free-roaming leopards that frequent the area."
- Teaching How to Safely Photograph Bullets in Flight is how Ted Kinsman wisely approaches his high-speed imaging class in the photographic sciences department at Rochester Institute of Technology.
