23 December 2016

Amazon and Goodwill have announced GiveBackBox, a free shipping service to encourage you to refill your Amazon delivery box with donated items. UPS and the U.S. Postal Service are also playing a role.

Amazon explained the simple three-step process:

  • Open Your Box: Unpack your merchandise from your Amazon shipping box.
  • Pack Your Box: Fill the box with clothing, accessories and household goods you no longer need and print your free shipping label from GiveBackBox.com.
  • Send Your Box: Let UPS or the U.S. Postal Service deliver your box of donations to Goodwill for you.

The box will be send to your nearest Goodwill which will, in turn, sell the items to "help support employment placement, job training and other community-based services."

No electronics may be donated through the program, however.

To participate, visit GiveBackBox.

Then reward yourself by using the code MOVIE99 to rent one Amazon Video movie per account for just 99 cents. Google Play has a similar deal, according to The Verge.
