At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas today, Nikon announced it would bring the D5600 it announced in November to the U.S. later this month. At the same time, the company announced two new Coolpix cameras, the W100 and the A300.
Highlights of the announcements include:
NIKON D5600
The 24.2-Mp camera features Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity plus a vari-angle LCD monitor, touch-screen operation with a crop function for use during playback zoom and a frame advance bar that allows scrolling through images in Playback mode. See our November story for the full specifications.
COOLPIX W100
Waterproof, shockproof and freezeproof, the Coolpix W100 supports Nikon SnapBridge to allow for connectivity and sharing. Other features include a 13.2-Mp sensor, 3x optical zoom Nikkor lens and full HD video capability.
COOLPIX A300
The compact Coolpix A300 is a lightweight slim zoom with a 20.1-Mp sensor, 8x optical zoom lens, high-performance Vibration Reduction and connectivity and sharing via Nikon SnapBridge.
PRICE, AVAILABILITY
The D5600 will be available in January for $799.95 with the AF-P DX Nikkor 18-55mm f3.5-5.6-GB VR lens, alongside other kit configurations. The Coolpix W100 will be available in Blue and White for $159.95 in March. The Coolpix A300 will be available in February in Silver for $139.95.
