In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at Bridging Stories, Landon Nordema, Photoshop for the elderly and automation ideas.

  • In Building Bridges Between Turkey and Armenia, James Estrin presents 16 images from Bridging Stories, a program that trains young Turks and Armenians to photograph their daily life with cellphones and share them on an Instagram. For the exhibit captions were veiled so you saw the picture before learning where it was taken.
  • In Women's Health: Landon Nordeman, Heidi Volpe interviews the photographer about his series for the magazine on older women. "The wisdom I took away -- of which all of these women reminded me -- was that life is a marathon not a sprint and there is time for change," he says.
  • Scott Kelby talks Photoshop for Old People, giving four tips for making it easier on old eyes and short memories.
  • Adama Engst presents 73 Mac Automation Stories From TidBITS Readers, many of which reference photo tasks, applications and scripting options.

More to come! Meanwhile, please support our efforts...
