Adobe Retires Creative Suite 6

Although the company has made no official announcement, Adobe has retired the perpetual license option for its Creative Suite applications, including Photoshop. Those versions have lagged behind the most recent Creative Cloud releases for some time now with a number of CC features not supported in the CS versions.
The Creative Suite 6 Web page now informs invisitors:

The page also notes that the company stopped selling perpetual licenses to the Creative Suite on Jan. 9.
Lightroom, which was not part of the original suite, can still be purchased with a perpetual license for $142.99 but that version lacks all the features of Lightroom CC, which is available for $9.99 a month in the Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan, which includes Photoshop CC.
