In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at Niko J. Kallianiotis, the Panasonic FZ2500, Storyglory and Amazon Prints.
- In This Photographer Chronicles Pennsylvania's Forgotten Industrial Towns and People, Elizabeth Flock interviews Niko J. Kallianiotis about his project America in a Trance, a photographic portrait of the small towns and cities of Pennsylvania. "The use of color serves as a sense of hope," he says. There are more images on his Instagram page.
- Kirk Tuck posted his Initial Reactions to the Panasonic FZ2500, which resembles his Sony RX10 III. He describes the Sony as "video friendly" and the Panasonic as "videographer oriented."
- Storyglory is a free iOS app that captures a simple photo or video to which you can add a voice recording. You can then share the piece with your family and friends via the company's secure and private server, inviting them to add their memories, too.
- Through March 12, you can get 100 4x6 Amazon Prints for a penny each when you use the promo code PENNY100. Prime members get free delivery, too.
