In an email to members today, the image sharing site 500px announced new features and new pricing for its membership plans which will take effect on April 10.

The new features include:

  • Advanced Stats provides more information about who is viewing your images, telling you where your audience is located and suggesting tips on which of your images perform best in the community.
  • Pro Profiles can increase your exposure within the 500px community by showing your best work with customizable profile tabs where you can feature your photography workshops and services.
  • Customizable Web sites, powered by Format, help create a professional photography Web site to sell your products in your own online store, share up to 1,500 of your best images and add client proofing to your workflow. And you can upload directly from 500px.

Other new benefits include a priority listing in Directory and online classes from photography experts including Emmy-Award winning photographer Tanner Wendell Scott and pro photographer Joel Bear.

500px has also implemented a streamlined payout system, which includes electronic payments to many more countries, guided online tax forms, faster processing times for payouts and lower fees for alternative payout methods.

The new features bring a change in membership plans with them:

Members on the free plan can lock in the new features at the current lower prices by upgrading to one of the paid plans before April 10.

The company provided more details about the changes on its blog.
