Ricoh has announced its $275.95 WG-50 rugged compact waterproof performance down to 14m, shockproof falls from a height of 1.6m, a freezeproof design to temperatures as low as -10 degrees and crushproof against weights up to 100 kilogram force. The new model also sports Outdoor View Setting mode to instantly change the brightness of the LCD for better outdoor visibility.

Ricoh has dropped the "W" designation for WiFi in favor of incorporating WiFi in the base model. So there's only the WG-50 model with WiFi.

PRICE, AVAILABILITY

Ricoh said the new model would be available in June in both black and orange models for $249.99. Adorama is accepting pre-orders now.
