Lensbaby has announced the Velvet 85mm f1.8 art lens, joining the Velvet 56mm f1.6 in its line of vintage-inspired prime lenses.

Like other Lensbaby offerings, you control the softness of the Velvet 85mm with its aperture. Wider apertures deliver a soft and dreamy effect with glowing highlights while smaller ones produce sharp focus with stronger contrast.
With a short minimum focus distance of 9.5 inches, the lens can also achieve a macro reproduction ratio of 1:2.
The short telephoto 85mm focal length translates to 136mm on Canon and 170mm on Nikon subframe cameras.
