In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at wildfires, testing lenses, Tasmania, People albums in Apple Photos and growing your skills.
- Alan Taylor presents 33 images in Wildfires Rage Across the American West. The La Tuna fire alone has burned nearly 7,200 acres, becoming the largest fire ever recorded in Los Angeles.
- Jim Kasson has posted Lens Screening Testing, describing a "process that a photographer employs to decide if a recently-purchased lens is worth keeping or not." It's a work in progress, so feel free to chime in.
- Julieanne Kost has published Tasmania -- Island of Inspiration as a Spark page. "I really appreciate how easy it is to create a collection of photographs in Lightroom, sync it across my mobile devices and use a beautifully designed Spark theme (template) to tell my story."
- Lory Gil explains How to Use the People Album in Photos for Mac.
- Cotton Carriers suggests Five Ways to Grow Your Photo Skills.
