Adobe has announced the appointment of photojournalist Santiago Lyon as the director of editorial content for Adobe Stock. In the new role, Lyon will "lead Adobe Stock's editorial content strategy and collection, working with world-class photojournalists, documentary photographers, editorial providers and media," the company said.

Santiago has spent 30 years in the trenches, winning two World Press Photo prizes on conflict and the Bayeux prize for war photography. Under his direction, AP earned three of its 31 Pulitzer Prizes for photography, for work in Iraq, the West Bank and Syria.

"I want to make Adobe the leading source of editorial imagery, to better serve and delight its expanding customer base and provide a seamless experience from discovering relevant photos, to processing them in Adobe's suite of creative tools," Lyon said in a Creative Cloud blog interview with Scott Braut.
