Adobe Accepting Applications For 2018 Creative Residency Share This on LinkedIn   Share This on Google   Tweet This   Forward This

22 January 2018

Adobe has begun accepting applications for its 2018 Creative Residency which provides a handful of creatives (like photographers) a year-long apprenticeship at Adobe to work on a project, sharing the process with the creative community as it proceeds.

So what's expected of a Creative Resident? Adobe spelled it out in a blog post about the program:

The Adobe Creative Residency program gives talented individuals a year to work on a personal creative project, while sharing their process with the community. Residents apply new ideas and tools to their work and inspire others to try new methods. Adobe provides residents with the best creative tools and resources, along with guidance from advisors and a complete compensation package.

In addition to photography, the 2017 program focuses on the fields of digital drawing and painting, graphic design (digital and print), UI/UX design and short form online video.

Recent Creative Resident designers include:

  • Jessica Bellamy, who promoted working with nonprofits via infographic hackathons
  • Natalie Lew, who developed a toolkit of resources to make UX design more accessible
  • Photographer Julia Nimke, who explored and documented places and cultures in Europe tied to folk tales

You can apply online until Feb. 25. For more information, visit the FAQ page.
