DNP DS-RXH1S Firmware Update Enables 6x6 Prints

DNP has released firmware version 2.06 for its DS-RX1HS printer to produced 6x6-inch square prints on the high speed printer.

The 6x6-inch photo format is popular in photo booth applications, the company said, where it can be used to create themed images. The square format is also popular for Instagram images or for a more modern approach to traditional prints.
The DS-RX1HS features increased print speeds that allow users to produce 4x6-inch prints in 12.4 seconds or up to 290 4x6-inch prints per hour. The printer offers capacities of 700 4x6-inch prints and 350 6x8-inch prints from a single roll of media.

CONCORD, N.C -- DNP Imagingcomm America Corp. has announced version 2.06 firmware for the DS-RX1HS printer. The update is available for Windows and Mac users and provides the ability to produce 6x6-inch square prints, the latest trend in photo printing.
The 6x6-inch photo format is especially popular for photo booth applications where it can be used to create unique retro themed images. The square format is also popular for Instagram images or for a more modern approach to traditional prints.

The DS-RX1HS features increased print speeds that allow users to produce 4x6-inch prints in 12.4 seconds or up to 290 4x6-inch prints per hour. The printer offers capacities of 700 4x6-inch prints and 350 6x8-inch prints from a single roll of media, as well as the ability to print two 2x6-inch photo strips on 4x6-inch paper and four 2x6-inch photo strips on 6x8" paper. The printer features both a high-speed mode (300x300dpi) and a high-resolution mode (300x600dpi). The new features can be selected using the newly released version of the printer driver.
