In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at more Jonathan Higbee, travel photography, atmospheric thermal turbulence, a SmugMug/Flickr AMA and remembering Michael Reichmann.
- We can never get enough of Jonathan Higbee's Coincidences. "I would go on several organized photo walks, take several street workshops with photo walks, walk the streets with friends," he recalls the beginning of the series. "It was fun, but in my own time out shooting I found I preferred staying at locations that interested me, taking the scene in and waiting for curious moments to arise."
- In Getting Into Travel Photography: Find the Details, Jordana Wright provides a few tips to get beyond postcard views of foreign experiences. The article is taken from her book The Enthusiast's Guide to Travel Photography.
- In Atmospheric Thermal Turbulence Demo, Jim Kasson shows how a little appreciated by well-known phenomenon can "wreak havoc on otherwise well-conceived testing."
- The questions are queuing for SmugMug CEO Don MacAskill's Ask Me Anything on Reddit. He'll answer on Monday.
- Remembering Michael Reichmann -- Two Years, Kevin Raber pays tribute to his friend on the anniversary of his death.
