A Thank You To Our Subscribers

In what has become an annual tradition, we stop the presses to express our appreciation to our subscribers and other financial supporters. Not a day goes by that we don't silently acknowledge the support you provide. But once in a while we like to bang the drum.
Any Table. Don't wait to be seated.
We don't badger readers for support and we don't make any noise about renewals or send automated thank-yous. We know you have plenty of dogs barking at the door because we have them too. We also know that if you find this site helpful, you'll find a way (among the many we offer) to say so.
Subscriptions remain our leading means of support followed by our affiliate links and donations. We use both Amazon and Google for CPM advertising but neither has approached the support of those who actually use the site. And Amazon itself is shutting down its CPM program in August.
Nothing has ever really approached the boost subscriptions (which are tax deductible for businesses in the field) provide in supporting our efforts here.
If we could, we would invite you to sit down at one of these tables for a two-hour lunch where we'd be nice to the waiter, order the special and linger over our wine, talking about the things that matter the most to us.
We'd pick up the check as a way to say thanks for making it possible for us to do what we're doing here in the way we think it should be done.
There are a lot of pretenders in this world. You aren't one of them. Neither are we. And that warm glow in the photo above isn't simply from the incandescent lighting.
It's because we're in this together. Thank you.
