SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARK, Calif. -- Delaware North has announced a new photo contest designed to share visitors' unique firsthand experiences at Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.
Visitors can participate by sharing an original photo via Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #UnlimitedSequoia and tagging the @VisitSekiParks account. They are also encouraged to elaborate on their visit to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks -- why they visited, what they loved or a favorite memory from their trip. Alternatively, participants can upload their photo to the Visit Sequoia Web site.
The contest launched Sept. 20 and runs through Nov. 1. At the conclusion, one winner will be chosen to receive a three-night stay at the Delaware North-operated Wuksachi Lodge in Sequoia National Park and a new Nikon camera valued at $1,000.
Delaware North operates visitor services at both Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, including lodging, food and beverage and retail. Between the two parks, guests can choose from several lodging and dining options, including the AAA rated, three-diamond Wuksachi Lodge in the heart of Sequoia National Park, which features a full-service restaurant, lounge, shops and meeting space and the 21-room Cedar Grove Lodge, located deep in Kings Canyon in Cedar Grove Village.
In 2017, Delaware North completed a 10-month, $6.4 million renovation to Grant Grove Restaurant in Kings Canyon National Park. The restaurant was redesigned and reconstructed using sustainable materials and construction techniques and it earned LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Buildings Council.
Delaware North also recently renovated and enhanced the food and beverage facilities at the Lodgepole Visitor Center in Sequoia and is set to open a new pizza deck at Wuksachi Lodge in October.
