In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at the season in photos, Belfast, small-scale farms, the Sundial app, Andrew Darlow and some free presets.
- In Fall Is in the Air, Alan Taylor presents 28 images of the season. "Across the North, people are beginning to feel a crisp chill in the evening air, leaves are splashing mountainsides with bright color, apples and pumpkins are being gathered and animals are on the move," he writes. Yep, we gathered our apples.
- David Conzalez catches Polish photographer Mariusz Smiejek Looking at Protestant Loyalist Life in Post-Conflict Belfast. On a visit to Belfast he saw the walls that divide Protestant and Catholic communities. "Imagine," he said, "there are lots of people living next to each other, but they haven't met each other for decades." He set about photographing them.
- In We Feed the World, Diane Smyth previews a show opening in London this week of 50 photographers who shoot small-scale farms around the world to make the case for sustainable agriculture.
- Derrick Story proclaims, Photographers, You Need the Sundial App on Your Apple Watch. Or your iOS device. And it's free.
- Andrew Darlow of the Imaging Buffet shares his Five Top Photo Tips & Articles.
- Art of Visuals is offering free Presets and LUTs.
