In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. We're updating our continuing Black 'Friday' deals with new Cyber Monday deals (many of which persist through the week) from a few unusual shopping resources. As always, shopping with our affiliates helps support this site.

Online Stampede. We duplicated our Stampede image from Friday on a new layer, applied the Find Edges filter and set the Opacity to 42 percent before increasing the Saturation of the base layer.

CYBER MONDAY DEALS

  • Miops is discounting its innovative triggering products 15 percent today only when you use the code BIGDEAL 2018.
  • ON1 offers the lowest upgrade price ($10 off the $79 price) on its Photo Raw 2019 package plus a Bliss Holiday Pack of 10 holiday card templates and 10 holiday overlays when you use the code CyberMonday.
  • PhotoShelter is offering 30 percent off its Standard and Pro accounts. The offer ends at midnight Nov. 27.
  • Olloclip is discounting its Multi-Device Clip plus a range of products for the iPhone.
  • Capture One is offering up to 60 percent off on Styles bundles.
  • The Online Photographer Print Sale features new signed prints by Peter Turnley of Paris, Venice, Havana. Prices are a third of what Turnley usually gets at galleries and there's a bonus print if you order all three. Orders will be accepted from through Friday evening at 10 p.m. ET.

BLACK 'FRIDAY' DEALS

Listings added 24 November 2018 include:

  • Gavin Seim is discounting the entire store 35 percent through Monday (except for the previously-mentioned Lumits 2 at 60 percent). Use the code FRIDAY.
  • OWC, the Mac accessories outlet, is offering Black Friday specials on an assortment of systems, devices and upgrades.

Listings added 23 November 2018 include:

  • Gavin Seim has introduced Lumist 2, "the first ever real-time tonal map with instant selections and game-changing editing," with a 60 percent discount until next Friday. Lumist 1 owners can upgrade fore $25 this week, too.
  • Tiny Beans is offering its yearly premium plan for $20 ($50 regularly) and its lifetime plan for $100 ($250), plus a half price website deal. Use the code FRIDAY18 before the sale ends Nov. 30.
  • Fracture is offering a 30 percent discount on gift cards for its glass print display products through Monday.
  • LaserSoft Imaging is taking up to 40 percent off its scanning software and IT8 targets through Nov. 26.
  • KelbyOne is offering a one-year membership for $149 ($239) and Photoshop World Conference tickets for $499 ($799).
  • Peter Krogh is "knocking 33 percent off the price of a printed paperback version of The DAM Book 3.0 from Black Friday through Cyber Monday."

  • MIOPS is offering a 15 percent discount on all of its Smart, Dongle, MobileRemote and Splash WaterDropKit when you use the code BIGDEAL2018+. But just on Nov. 23.
  • Affinity is dropping prices 30 percent on its photo and illustration software as well as new brush packs through Nov. 27.

  • Adorama has a Black Friday Deals page that will go live Friday, Nov. 23. You know, for anyone looking for all those great camera and lens deals.
  • B&H has as Holiday Savings page organized by brand name with top sellers, live chat and callback for help.
  • Apple is having a Four Day Shopping Event starting Friday, Nov. 23.
  • Datacolor is offering significantly discounted rates on two of its display calibration devices between Nov. 21 to 27. The Spyder5PRO is $99.99 ($50 off) and the Spyder4ELITE is $149.99 ($100 off).
  • Borrowlenses will take 25 percent off all used gear when you use the code BLACKFRIDAY18 at checkout through Nov. 30.
  • DxO is offering a 50 percent discount on PhotoLab 2, Nik Collection 2018, FilmPack 5 and ViewPoint 3 from Nov. 22 at 4 a.m. EST through Nov. 25 at 6 p.m. EST.

Nov. 21 through midnight Nov. 28. The company is also tossing in two free packs of film (a $26 value) with the purchase of a Sofort camera in that same window.
  • Think Tank Photo is putting its popular Airport Advantage Plus roller on sale at 50 percent off. Plus, through Dec. 2, they are discounting several other product lines at 40 percent off. The sales begin Nov. 23. Use our affiliate link above for a free gift and free shipping.
  • Rocky Nook is offering 50 percent off print books and bundles when you use the code TURKEY18 at checkout.
  • Sigma has announced savings up to $150 on its Global Vision lens line, with a large focus on Art lenses. The sale ends Nov. 29 at Adorama, B&H and other dealers.
  • Camera Bits is offering 30 percent off Photo Mechanic form Nov. 23 to 26. Plus $15 off on upgraded licenses.
  • Alien Skin is offering 15 percent off through midnight (EST) Nov. 26 on Exposure X4, Blow Up, Snap Art and the Exposure X4 Bundle. We use Exposure X4 whenever we want to add a frame or special effects to an image.
