21 June 2019

Today is the longest day of 2019 and the start of summer for those of us living north of the equator. We're blessed with about 14 hours of sunlight today where we live.

Summer Solstice. A bug-free summer? Not likely. Shot on an Olympus E-PL1 with a Lensbaby Tilt Transformer and Composer with a +10 macro lens at f8, 1/125 second and ISO 200 and processed in Adobe Camera Raw.

Which is as good an excuse as any to press the Power button, crank your zoom and squeeze the Shutter button.

So we did.

Naturally, the first thing we saw was this poor lady bug trapped by a spider's web. But that's life for you.

We moved on to happier scenes. Because that, too, is life for you.
