Canon Announces G7 X III, G5 X Mark II PowerShots

Canon has announced its PowerShot G7 X III and PowerShot G5 X Mark II cameras, successors to the PowerShot G7 X II and PowerShot G5 X respectively. Among the new features are wireless live-streaming via YouTube, a pop-up electrical viewfinder and 4K video shooting.

POWERSHOT G7 X III
The PowerShot G7 X III features live-streaming to YouTube capability over a wireless connection and vertical video support, 4K up to 30P high-rate movie with no crop, full HD up to 120p with an optical 4.2x lens.
Powered by the company's DIGIC 8 image processor plus a new 20.1-megapixel sensor in a compact body with a microphone jack, the PowerShot G7 X III offers an improved user interface and Creative Assist for both video and still photography needs.

The PowerShot G5 X Mark II is a lighter, compact and premium digicam with a new pop-up EVF, touch and drag AF and new optical 5x lens plus a new panoramic shot feature.

Canon said the $749.99 PowerShot G7 X III and the $899.99 PowerShot G5 X Mark II will ship in August.
