Adobe To Replace Premiere Clip With Rush Share This on LinkedIn   Tweet This   Forward This

5 September 2019

In an email announcement today from the Adobe Creative Cloud team, Adobe announced it would discontinue Premiere Clip, its free video app for Android and iOs, on Sept. 17. It will continue to offer Premiere Rush instead.

The email explained:

To meet the changing demands of content creators, we're shifting our efforts to Adobe Premiere Rush, our all-in-one, cross-device video editing app. With Premiere Rush, you can edit and share directly to social channels across iOS, macOS, Windows and Android devices.

Clip, which has lower harder requirements than Rush, will continue to function, of course. And Adobe will support it with technical support until March 17.

Adobe is discontinuing Premiere Clip and replacing it with Premiere Rush, a cross-platform video editing tool.

Dear [Clip User],

Starting Sept. 17, Adobe Premiere Clip will no longer be available for download on Google Play and the Apple App Store. To meet the changing demands of content creators, we're shifting our efforts to Adobe Premiere Rush, our all-in-one, cross-device video editing app. With Premiere Rush, you can edit and share directly to social channels across iOS, macOS, Windows and Android devices.

If you're an existing Clip user, you can continue to use and enjoy the app and we'll continue to offer technical support until March 17, 2020. If you have questions, visit the Help Center. Find out more about Premiere Rush here.

Sincerely,
The Adobe Creative Cloud team
