In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at Biscioni Torino, San Antonio, a mirrorless update, Jamie Livingston, fall photography tips, iPadOS's Files app, Sergio De La Torre and Cocktails With Creatives.
- Davide de Martis loves to photograph the vintage Alfa Romeo cars that the Biscioni Torino who meet in downtown Turin love to show off. Every meeting is "a short film from the seventies, where the protagonists are their cars, the pilots are the actors and the direction is their common passion."
- Kirk Tuck shows off his Pentax K1 shots of Downtown San Antonio. "The Pentax K-1 has a sharper, brighter look than the Fujis I normally use and it just begged to be unleashed on some architecture," he writes.
- Kevin Raber sits down for half an hour with Phil Gibson and Jody Grober for a Mirrorless Update:
- 'Some Photos of That Day' With Hugh Crawford is an interview with Hugh Crawford about the project that memorialized Jamie Livingston's Polaroids into the book Some Photos of That Day.
- Jason D. Little lists Five Tips That Will Take Your Fall Photography to a New Level. "Fall provides unique visuals for photographers to play with," he enthuses.
- Derrick Story finds two out of three ways of Using Files and Flash Drives With iPadOS. The third method, which has been around a while, is enhanced by the new iOS Files app.
- San Francisco photographer Sergio De La Torre has been documenting the 175 freshly-painted gray homes around the Mission District. The trend, perhaps abating, is know as "techbro gray" for mimicking the color options of the MacBook Pro.
- In Cocktails With Creatives: An Inspiring Mix(er), Lindsay Morris reports on Adobe's summer happy hour series with Adobe Stock partners, including several photographers.
