Tokina has announced the Tokina atx-m 85mm f1.8 FE for Sony E-mount full-frame cameras, its first lens in the atx-m series. The new atm-x series will include lenses for several mounts and sensor formats, the company said.

"This is a very exciting new lens series for Tokina" said Yuji Matsumoto, Kenko Tokina USA president. "The mirrorless camera market continues to expand and the atx-m series will address the needs of photographers using different camera mounts and sensor sizes."

Tokina said the lens would ship on Feb. 7 for $499. Adorama and B&H are both now accepting pre-orders.
