John Nack has posted details of a free online seminar tomorrow at noon Pacific Time on Lightroom Classic 2020 Tips & Techniques. The link is to the Zoom broadcast so apparently no pre-registration is required.

The seminar will be hosted by Phil Clevenger and Rick Miller and cover the following topics:

  • Quick history of the Lightroom UI and its influence on modern software design
  • The importance of choosing the right color space when editing your photos
  • Creating custom camera profiles for your dSLR, cellphone and drone cameras to achieve the best color fidelity
  • The Raw advantage: recovering data from overexposed/underexposed images
  • Using the Map module and GPS coordinates for location scouting
  • Soft Proofing your photos to determine the most appropriate print color settings
  • Questions & Answers

Cleavenger is the senior director of experience design for Adobe Experience Cloud and the original user interface designer for Lightroom, which resulted in two patents for user interface innovations.

Miller is a former senior solutions engineer and color management expert at Adobe who currently teaches at USC and has assisted the Los Angeles Police Dept. in the forensic application of Photoshop.
