In an email today, Affinity announced it would revive the 90-day free trial and 50 percent discount on all of its apps, including iPad versions. Those include Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer.

The company said it ended the original offers when "it appeared things were getting better" but it didn't turn out that way. "Sadly, it's clear that the pandemic continues to have a serious impact and so we've decided to bring back these offers once again."

Affinity Photo, for example, has been discounted to $24.99 from its regular $49.99 price. That discount applies to the Mac and Windows versions. The iPad version is $9.99, down from $19.99. Affinity Designer is similarly priced for all three platforms, as is Affinity Publisher for macOS.

The text of the email follows:

We're Here to Help -- Use Our Apps Free for 90 Days

In response to the pandemic last year and as a way to lend some support to the creative community, we made a 90-day free trial available for the Mac and Windows versions of the whole Affinity suite, while also cutting the price of all of our apps, including iPad versions, by 50 percent.

When those offers ended, it appeared things were getting better and we all hoped that by now the situation would have continued to improve. Sadly, it's clear that the pandemic continues to have a serious impact and so we've decided to bring back these offers once again.

Moreover, the free trials are available to everyone, including those who have previously completed one -- so even if you used the free trial last year, you can do it again. There's also 50 percent off content in the Affinity Store too.
