Leica has introduced its M10-P Reporter, a design variant of the Leica M10-P that honors the photojournalists of our time and features a dark green, scratch-resistant finish and black Kevlar camera trim.
Announced as part of the celebrations marking the 40th anniversary of the Leica Oskar Barnack Award, the Reporter was developed with "the needs of press and reportage photographers in mind," the company said.
Leica said the Kevlar diamond-weave texture on the body makes the Reporter comfortable to hold. Through exposure to natural UV rays, the armor will eventually turn the same color as its top and base plate.
All of the camera's engravings are inlaid in light green, creating a more discreet effect than the white inlays customarily used on black camera bodies.
The Reporter's technical specifications are identical to the serially produced Leica M10-P.

The Leica M10-P Reporter is available now for $8,795. A total of 450 units will be available worldwide.
