In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at National Battery Day, Robert Darch, We Speak and Harold Davis.
- Joe McNally celebrates National Battery Day with a shout-out to Maha and its Powerex batteries. "We live and die with our batteries. As long as we have juice, we can work," he writes.
- Paradise Lost presents Robert Darch's rural landscapes haunted by ill-at-ease models. He had suffered a stroke in his twenties and a long recuperation.
- Suzanne Sease presents Modeling Tests with We Speak Modeling by Jesse Dittmar. He done model shoots with agencies before but was bored until he discovered We Speak. "I was photographing people with incredible stories and making art that I was excited about: the core reason I became a photographer in the first place," he says.
- Harold Davis moves his palette to his more violet images in Color Me Purple.
More to come! Meanwhile, here's a look back. And please support our efforts...
