In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at Mona Kuhn, Tournament Earth, PhotoNOLA and Nikon Professional Services.

  • In Reinterpreting the Nude: The Photography of Mona Kuhn, the Guardian presents a tasteful selection of images from Kuhn's new book Mona Kuhn: Works. "Her work is natural, restful and a reinterpretation of the nude in the canon of contemporary art," the liner notes say.
  • Tournament Earth is in the second round. You can still vote on the 16 remaining photographs of Earth taken by astronauts from the International Space Station until Monday.
  • Jonathan Blaustein continues with the second part of Projects From PhotoNOLA. The final segment features work by George Nobechi, Eric Kunsman, Ruth Lauer Manenti, Fernanda de Icaza, Stephen Starkman and Rosalie Rosenthal.
  • Thom Hogan reflects on The NPS Conundrum after Nikon Professional Services started charging for access and reduced staff. "NPS still feels like a shell without a center to me," he writes.

More to come! Meanwhile, here's a look back. And please support our efforts...
