In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at 42 women, Commonwealth arrivals, Iceland, 2022 and foosball.

  • Resilience is Ramzi Mansour's black-and-white portrait series of 42 women who have all been diagnosed with cancer. "To photograph and portray the stories of 42 women who journeyed with cancer?" he says. "It's a first and they were all so inspired to help inspire others."
  • In Last Call for Commonwealth Arrivals, 1962, Tim Adams present an image from "an exhibition, Changing the Story, that uses pictures from the TopFoto archive to challenge received ideas of the 'whiteness' of Britain after the first world war."
  • In Iceland Re Do, Kevin Raber processes his captures from 2010 again using Capture One Pro 22. He generously presents quite a few of the 2,165 images he made on two trips.
  • In 2022 Is Going to See Changes, Thom Hogan starts from the premise that "2021 was the year that dSLRs went on life support." This year we'll see "the tail end of the great pivot."
  • Rob Haggart interviews Sol Neelman about his unique Table-Top Foosball Promo featuring his image of Megan Rapinoe. He bought the small tables from Amazon for $40, about what you might pay for a frame.

More to come! Meanwhile, here's a look five years back. And please support our efforts...
