In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at the Ocean Art Underwater Photo Contest, André Leon Talley, the Sigma 65mm f2.0 lens, long exposure tricks, more hacks and some forensic photo analysis.
- Alan Taylor showcases 20 images by the winners of the 2021 Ocean Art Underwater Photo Contest. Luc Rooman won Best in Show among 13 categories.
- The Guardian presents images from the life of Vogue fashion editor André Leon Talley, who has died at 73.
- Kirk Tuck praises the Sigma 65mm f2.0 Lens. "It's been one of the least discussed new lenses I've seen recently and I think its omission is a disservice to many photographers," he writes.
- Dan Havlik collects Five Amazing Long Exposure Photography Tricks which you can file under Special Effects.
- Dahlia Ambrose lists Seven Tutorials for Easy Photography Hacks and DIY. "There are a lot of interesting and cheap techniques that can be used in the place of expensive accessories," she writes.
- In Oh My Aching Head, Andrew Molitor does some forensic photo analysis where mere speculation did not suffice.
