In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at Yellowstone, the Ancient Forest Alliance, portraiture, free Lightroom course and KEH.

  • Steven Fuller presents Yellowstone at 150 in a series of stunning images. Fuller has been the "winterkeeper" at Yellowstone for 49 years.
  • In Ancient Forest Alliance, Heidi Volpe interviews T.J. Watt about protecting and photographing old growth through the Alliance. "I believe art can open doors into a person's heart where it might otherwise be closed," he says. "Once that door is open, new information can be allowed in, including ideas and views they might not previously have been open to receiving."
  • In Playing Through Portraiture, Liz Sales interviews photographer Bubi Canal "whose work playfully engages hybrid mythology, identity and personal history through portraits of whimsical characters dressed in a bright palette of colorful costumes." Fun stuff.
  • Terry White's one-hour Lightroom Classic 101 Crash Course is free:
  • A few customers reflect on KEH in 2022 as a source for used gear.

More to come! Meanwhile, here's a look five years back. And please support our efforts...
