13 June 2022

With the release of a collection of new digital tools inspired by David Bowie, Adobe invites you "to create your own persona." The release marks 50 years since Bowie's creation of Ziggy Stardust.

As part of an exclusive partnership with Bowie 75, the official campaign marking Bowie's 75th birthday, the new suite of digital tools will be available as downloads for Photoshop, Illustrator, Fresco, Substance and Adobe Express.

You can use the tools, Adobe said, to create your own alter ego.

The company noted:

Bowie's originality still inspires creators today, encouraging us all to freely explore our identities and proudly reveal to the world who we truly are. The brand-new tools from Adobe include a series of make-up brushes, texture and pattern samplers, graphics inspired by Bowie's album covers and film posters, and stickers including the famous Lightning Bolt and Ziggy Stardust astral sphere.

The toolkit includes:

  • Graphics created by Tina Touli, Kae Neskovic, Tabea Mahern and Thomas Hedger
  • 18 digital make-up brushes
  • Three tutorials to inspire you

And launching on July 1, Bowie's virtual dressing room will provide "an immersive gaming experience" where you can collect treasures for your alter-ego.
