At its special event today Apple unveiled its iPhone 14 Pro and non-Pro lineups.
Following is a brief description of the camera specifications.
PRO MODELS
Specifications for the iPhone 14 Pro (6.1-inch display) and iPhone 14 Pro Max (6.7-inch display) follow:
- 48-Mp Type 1/1.28 (9.8x7.3mm) quad-pixel chips compared to the iPhone 13's 12-Mp Type 1/1.7 (7.5x5.7mm) chips
- A16 Bionic chip
- 2x improvement in low light performance via Apple's image-combining Photonic Engine
- TrueDepth front camera with autofocus
- 12-Mp combined images from 48-Mp data or 48-Mp ProRaw files
- 12-Mp sensor crop mode
Display
- Always-on displays with a pill-shaped cutout rather than a notch
- 6.7- or 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR displays
- Display brightness is typically 1600 nits with a maximum 2,000 nits
Lenses
- Optically stabilized 24mm (35mm equivalent) f1.78 lens
- 13mm equivalent ultrawide 0.5x f2.2

RETAINED MODELS
Apple will continue to sell iPhone 13 (from %599) and iPhone SE (from $429) models as well.
ORDERING
Apple said pre-orders will be accepting beginning at 5 a.m. PDT on Sept. 9 with available expected on Sept. 16, with the iPHone 14 Plus expected Oct. 7.
