In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at polling places, jacarandas, Dartmoor National Park, Anjelica Jardiel and Vancouver.

  • In America Votes, the Associated Press documents Tuesday's polling places in laundromats, schools, libraries, fire stations and more. "From Lewiston, Maine, to rainy Pacoima, California, they held infants in their arms and wore uniforms, suits and workout clothes as they waited to vote," the AP notes.
  • It's springtime in Sydney where Jacarandas Burst Into Bloom after record-breaking rains. Hmm, did someone mention purple rain?
  • In Moss Drapes From Trees, Kate Mothes presents Neil Burnell's photographs of the forests of Dartmoor National Park.
  • Suzanne Sease features The Things We Do to Each Other, Anjelica Jardiel's personal project. "New York City-based photographer Anjelica Jardiel started this project in May 2021, as a response to the pandemic, craving physical closeness and realizing how important her close relationships are," she writes.
  • Kirk Tuck posted some Snaps From the Vacation in Vancouver, plus a few more in A Small Gallery of Black and White Shots. All with his Panasonic Lumix S5 and the Voigtlander 40mm f1.4 lens.

More to come! Meanwhile, here's a look back. And please support our efforts...
