16 December 2022

Nikon has issued a technical service advisory for a problem with the lens release button on its Z 9 mirrorless camera.

Serial Number Location. How to find a Z 9 serial number.

According to the advisory, when pressing the lens release button, it "does not function as it should and does not allow for rotation and removal of a lens or mount adapter from the camera."

The company has identified a range of serial numbers on which defective parts were installed and will inspect and replace the parts in that range at no cost. You can visit the advisory serial number check page to see if your Z 9 is affected.

See the advisory for the details.
