In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at Wendy Stone, Kellie Swanson, HP 's dynamic security and remembering Loyle.

  • Magali Duzant showcases Wendy Stone's images of Siblings in which Stone documents "the lively adventures of her son and the family's two beloved dogs." The siblings in question are Stone's son and two dogs, Marius and Sasha.
  • Grace Ebert features the Botanical Cyanotypes that photographer Kellie Swanson imprints on the jackets, jeans and other garments as part of her clothing line KSX.
  • Scharon Harding reports HP Outrages Printer Users With Firmware Update Suddenly Bricking Third-Party Ink. "HP has already faced class-action lawsuits and bad publicity from 'dynamic security,' but that hasn't stopped the company from expanding the practice," she writes.
  • In The Last of the Old Americans, Mike Johnston remembers his friend Loyle. "If you complained, Loyle would let you go on for a while and then say, 'Aw, too bad!' As if to say, stop whining." The art of perspective.

More to come! Meanwhile, here's a look back. And please support our efforts...
