A Streetcar Going Nowhere

The refurbished streetcar from Illinois wasn't going anywhere. It was stopped on the tracks in the middle of the block. And there wasn't another streetcar running on the line in either direction.
An L from Illinois. Not going anywhere while the line is being upgraded.
That's because these tracks are on a segment of the L Taraval Improvement Project. And it's getting a makeover.
So our Illinois streetcar, one of several historic streetcars Muni has gathered from around the world to put back in service, is just testing, apparently. And ready for its close-up.
Which revealed an amusing destination. "Nowhere in Particular," the sign in front reads.
You can say that again.
