In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at pictures of the week, street photography winners, Stonehenge, balance, a fisherman, vintage effects, digicams and Gena Rowland.

- LensCulture has announced the winners and finalists of its Street Photography Awards.
- Grace Ebert features Josh Dury's image of The Perseid Meteor Shower Raining Down on Stonehenge. Dury took 46 shots he oomposited into a single image.
- In Elements in Balance, Rob Wood presents Light Stalking's July contest winners. "Achieving balance ensures that no single part of the image overpowers the rest, making the overall composition more pleasing to the eye," he writes.
- Associated Press photographer Hassan Ammar describes how he captured A Fisherman Casting in Swirling Seas along the Beirut coastline on a sweltering day. "I used a 28mm f2 Sony lens with a very slow shutter speed to show the movement of the waves. As I didn't have a tripod, I had to hold my breath for long seconds many times to catches the picture I wanted," he writes.
