Tamron Announces 50-400mm for Nikon Z

Tamron has announced its 50-400mm f4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD (Model A067) for the Nikon Z mount system will ship on Sept. 19.
Featuring an 8x zoom ratio, this ultra-telephoto zoom is both smaller and lighter than conventional 100-400mm zoom lenses yet offers a wider angle of view. It is just 7.3 inches long and weighs 41.6 oz.
Equipped with Tamron's Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive linear motor focus mechanism, it offers excellent quietness and responsiveness. Tamron's proprietary image stabilization Vibration Compensation is also included.
It provides up to one-half life-size magnification during close focus and an minimum object distance of 9.8 inches at 50mm.
