When we go out for a walk, we never ever stop moving. We never take a break. We never sit down. We never open a canteen. We never close our eyes. We just keep walking. One mile, ten, it doesn't matter. We don't stop.

But after our recent concussion we had the bright idea (certain marbles banging into each other, no doubt) to sit down somewhere for a minute on one of these walks.

There are certainly many appropriate locations, some of them with enticing benches and views. But we were just walking by Forest Hill station when the idea occurred to us.

And behind the station is a recently renovated landscape we have much admired passing through it. It was done as the Forest Hill Irrigation Improvement Project, designed to "upgraded the station area’s 40-year-old irrigation system and replaced the existing sod with a new variety that requires less water."

Apparently it saves 442,494 gallons of water per year -- and looks good doing it.

But there is one corner adjacent to a row of businesses that was designed as a sort of public seating area. The "benches" are old tree trunks either laid on their side or chopped into chairs. There's even one that resembles a Lazy-Boy with a foot rest.

Which is where we decided to take a moment's respite from our walk.

But the second we did, we thought we swing our camera into action and photograph the seating arrangements before anybody joined us.

So we jumped up and took some photos before we sat back down and resumed our respite.
