Like a child's drawing of the rays of the sun, this Yucca plant spilled over the sidewalk. We'd already stepped around it when it occurred to us it might be worth a shot.

Yucca. Olympus E-PL1 with 14-42mm II R kit lens at 42mm (84mm equivalent), f8, 1/160 second, ISO 200. Processed in Adobe Camera Raw.

That put the sun mostly behind the Yucca, illuminating its blades from the back. Which was an even better image than we expected.

It required very little post processing. Even a little is too much sometimes and while we did kick up Dehaze a bit, we found other edits only detracted.

One thing we did try was to desaturate the reds to isolate the green blades even more. But that didn't have much of an effect at all.

Nope, just leave it the way we found it, we decided. Which is what we did on the street, after all.
