In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at Election Day, the Ian Parry Photojournalism Grant, No Woman's Land, Lightroom post mortem and gathering photos for a memorial tribute.

  • The Associated Press captures the action in Election Day Voting Underway. Reuters adds 34 Scenes From Election Day.
  • Matt Fidler showcases the work of recipients of this year's Ian Parry Photojournalism Grant, which supports young and emerging photographers.
  • Nilofer Khan highlights No Woman's Land, a photo series by Iranian photojournalist Kiana Hayeri and French researcher Mélissa Cornet showing the effect of the "Taliban curbing the rights and freedom of Afghans, particularly women and girls."
  • In Post Mortem Lightroom, Derrick Story looks at what happens when the subscription ends. In this case, the photographer passed away and the family wanted to maintain his Lightroom catalogs. You can "continue to use Lightroom Classic as an organizer, export images when needed, and even use some of the presentation features. What we can't do is further edit the photos," he writes.
  • A Reddit posters is looking for an Easy Way to Gather Photos for Memorial Service.

More to come! Meanwhile, here's a look five years back. And please support our efforts...
