In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at Beaver supermoon, "abstract" photography, Ukraine and automation.
- Lizzie Tucker showcases the Beaver Supermoon Around the World.
- in Abstract? Mike Johnston wonders if his "perfectly realistic photograph" Car Wash can be considered "abstract." He writes, "I'm inside the car going through a car wash, taking a picture of the windshield, with the lens's focus on the windshield; there's some out-of-focus blur at the top because the top of the picture is closer to me, not farther away. It's heavily cropped." Nothing abstract about that.
- The Associated Press marks 1,000 Days of War in Ukraine in photos, "many of them horrifying, some of them poignant, others uplifting."
- A Reddit poster wonders what scripts people have developed to Automate or Optimize Your Work/Workflows.
