In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at Notre Dame Cathedral, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, fanciful Thanksgiving dinners, Karan Kapoor, Lorraine Poole, the New iPad Mini, film and Photoclass 2025.

  • NPR presents a few images of A Restored Notre Dame Cathedral. Reuters adds 27 photos of The Project of the Century.
  • The Associated Press covers The Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 21 photos. It was a little wet.
  • Christopher Jobson features Thanksgiving Special, a photo series by San Francisco-based artist Hannah Rothstein that imagines Thanksgiving dinners as plated by famous artists throughout history.
  • Suzanne Sease features Karan Kapoor's personal project focused on The Medium of Metal. "These images celebrate the unyielding spirit of those who find beauty and meaning in their work, reminding us of the boundless potential within ourselves and the world around us," he says.
  • The Greedy Gull,, shot on Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, is Lorraine Poole's best phone picture. She captured an errant seagull on the sunroof of the car before her dad, who was busy with his fish and chips. "It was a lovely opportunity to capture a funny moment and my dad's expression as it happened," Poole says.
  • Derrick Story details Configuring the New iPad Mini for Photography to work with several imaging editing apps before listing useful accessories.
  • In A Film Baker's Dozen, Mike Johnston calls for submissions on the theme of film. "New or old, it has to utilize film in one way or another, or reflect the theme in some detectable/explicable way," he writes.
  • Reddit moderators announce Photoclass 2025 Is Here!

More to come! Meanwhile, here's a look back. And please support our efforts...
