Michele Sons Wins OM System Photography Contest

OM System has announced Michele Sons of Roanoke, Va., is the grand prize winner of its recent Creativity. It's in our nature photo contest. Her photograph Fairy Forest is "a mesmerizing image of fireflies illuminating a serene forest, praised by the selection jury for its magical and natural composition," the company said.

The contest ran from Oct. 24, 2024, to Jan. 3 and attracted over 5,000 submissions, showcasing the beauty of outdoor photography.
As the winner, Sons will embark on a 7-day photography journey to Japan with OM System Ambassador Lisa Michele Burns and receive some new OM System equipment to accompany her.

The most recent celebration was particularly meaningful, marking the third anniversary of the OM System brand. To commemorate this milestone, the brand invited photographers to embrace the theme, "Creativity. It's in our nature," through a global photo contest inspired by the Japanese philosophy of Kacho Fugetsu -- an appreciation of the beauty of nature and the spirit of exploration.
