Here's a tip for you if you ever find yourself taking Muni and SamTrans to get from San Francisco to Daly City and back (no one? just me?). SamTrans gives you a two-hour free transfer window from when you first board. So if it can get somewhere in half an hour and you can do what you have to do in an hour and half, you can get a free return trip.

Shuttle Stop. iPhone 15 Pro Max back triple camera 68mmm, f1.8, 1/154 second and ISO 80.

Here's a more useful trip though. There's a free shuttle from Seton hospital to Daly City BART (where you can hop on Muni) during commute hours. So you don't need that SamTrans free transfer window if you're shuttling from Seton and vicinity to BART (no one? just me?).

More than once during our commute the other (sunny) day between storms, we marveled at the lingering cloud formations. We were really too low at ground level to get a good composition but we kept marveling.

We arrived about 10 minutes early for the first shuttle from Seton so we had time to marvel some more. But Seton is at the top of a hill, so with our vantage point improved, we took a photo south at the clouds beyond the forested hills.

We found it a little amusing that a parking lot occupied the middle ground and some barriers the foreground. We liked the warning that seemed to apply to both sides of the barriers. In front it warned about the bus lane, behind it warned about the weather.

We're almost at the point in our life, we suspect, that warnings appear as opportunities. A warning about getting hit by a bus, in short, comes across as the opportunity to get hit by a bus.

But we exaggerate.

We had no intention of missing Ray driving us in the free shuttle to Daly City BART where our free pass on Muni would get us home and in time for what the rest of the world refers to as happy hour.

If only it were.
