Enhancing the enjoyment of taking pictures with news that matters, features that entertain and images that delight. Published frequently.
1 March 2025
We've just archived Volume 14, Number 2 of Photo Corners on the Archive page with 15 Features, 19 commented News stories, 24 Editor's Notes (which included 131 items of interest) and 3 site notes for a total of 61 stories.
Of those, 27 stories included 109 images, we celebrated one holiday and published 14 stories with gear specifications tables. We also noted two obituaries.
And we completed our new year transition, adding the 2025 headlines and links to it on all the other headline pages.
READERSHIP numbers were only slightly inflated by the OpenAI and ChatGPT assault, which we were able to blunt after only a couple of days. Accounting for that bump, February looked much like January.
THE TOP STORIES were mostly our daily Around The Horn column. That lineup was interrupted by the Hugh Holland obit in second place, the Epson videos story in fifth and the notice about the AI attack in eighth.
WE'RE PLEASED TO REPORT some improvement in our typing. We are no longer stumbling through every word but can find the home row and get across the page fairly reliably again.
Although your editor is still finding it helpful to wear an eye patch to read the screen with his near-sighted eye.
On that note, we have another CTscan to monitor our brain bleed next week. Hope springs eternal here. Between the ears, at least.
