In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at deportees, Covid lockdown revisited, Glen McClure, normal lenses and a backyard garden.

  • The Associated Press features portraits by Matias Delacroix of Trump Deportees. "They crossed oceans to get to the U.S., fleeing conflict, religious persecution, poverty and government crackdowns in countries such as Afghanistan, Somalia, Cameroon, China, Pakistan and Iran," writes Megan Jenetsky in the accompanying story.
  • Reuters revisits how we lived Under Covid Lockdown five years ago in 45 photos.
  • Suzanne Sease features images from Waves of Strength, the personal project of Glen McClure. The exhibit features 50 portraits (out of 396 images) of African American shipyard workers from the Hampton Roads harbor region of Virginia.
  • Mike Johnston continues his series on normal focal length lenses with The Big Honkin' Normals of Now, Part II: The Paragons.
  • Harold Davis reports on his Backyard Garden Progress with a couple of photos.

With security updates from both Adobe and Apple, we're a little late today. But more to come! Meanwhile, here's a look back. And please support our efforts...
