18 March 2025

Cyme has released Peakto 2.3 with a compelling new feature for the macOS media manager: secure remote access. With the new Peakto Connect, you can access your remote media from anywhere, across multiple devices, without uploading your content to the Cloud.

Peakto Connect establishes an encrypted local or public Internet connection to securely access Peakto and its cataloged content from anywhere. Once logged into your Peakto account, you can preview all your referenced photos and videos directly in your Web browser, without any files being uploaded to the Cloud.

Claudia Zimmer, CEO of Cyme, said, "Peakto is a one-of-a-kind media manager because it enables remote access to locally stored images and videos without relying on the Cloud. This unique solution ensures that content creators retain full ownership of their work while maintaining the freedom to create anytime, anywhere."

With the new feature, you can access your portfolio anywhere: during client meetings, at exhibitions or on shoots. Once connected to your account, you can also access Peakto from multiple devices, includeing smartphones and tablets. There's no need to be at your workstation to access your images and videos.

Connect's features include:

  • Search for files using AI-powered prompts
  • Create albums and organize your content
  • Export HD files for sharing or use

Peakto 2.3: All Your Photos and Videos Stored Locally, Yet Accessible Everywhere, Without the Cloud

  • Content creators fear that their work stored in the Cloud may be used to train generative AI.
  • Local storage ensures data privacy and provides cost control -- something Cloud subscriptions often lack. However, it doesn't allow for remote access.
  • The latest version of Peakto, Cyme's innovative media manager, bridges this gap by offering both local storage and multi-device access on the go -- without relying on the Cloud.
